Color. is published by Pears, a sole proprietorship operated by Marino Solokhov, based in Germany.

Data Collection

Color. collects no data. Specifically:

No personal information is collected
No usage data or analytics are collected
No data is transmitted over the internet
No cookies or tracking technologies are used
No third-party SDKs or services are integrated
No advertising frameworks are included
No accounts or registration are required

Device Permissions

Color. requests access to the following device capabilities:

Camera: Used to capture live frames for real-time color analysis. Camera data is processed entirely on-device and is never stored, transmitted, or shared.
Photo Library: Used to import photos for palette extraction. Images are processed locally and never leave your device.

Both permissions are optional. The app functions without them (Studio and Favorites tabs do not require any permissions).

Data Storage

All user-generated content (favorite colors, palettes, preferences) is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard persistence frameworks (SwiftData and UserDefaults). This data is included in your iCloud backup if you have device backups enabled, but is never accessible to the developer.

Third-Party Services

Color. uses no third-party services, SDKs, APIs, or frameworks beyond Apple's standard iOS SDK. The app makes zero network requests.

Children's Privacy

Color. does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The app is safe for use by all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Since the app collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
